About Usup
|
Webstruments is a hi-quality design & development web shop that has consistently delivered top US-grade work for over 8 years. We specialize in custom Content Managements Systems (CMS), e-commerce platforms, and order management applications. While many firms and hobbyists can design websites, not many have the experience of architecting and leading development for a multi-million dollar annual services agreement with AT&T and Hilton. Or successfully delivering an Executive Dashboard Reporting System for LG's cellular phone marketing campaign in under 6 weeks.
On every project, large and small, Webstruments uses the leading web-based project management and collaboration tool, Basecamp, that enables us to easily and effectively "share files, meet deadlines, assign tasks, centralize feedback, and make clients smile." Webstruments was founded in 2002 as a web design studio targeted towards servicing the classical music sector. It has since evolved into an enterprise level Internet solution center and IT professional services consultancy. We bring the full power of our engineering, creative, marketing, and sales talent to every client we work with.
We understand budgets of all sizes and are committed to helping our clients benefit from our high level of expertise and long-term sustainable professional relationships. We also are fanatical proponents of project and process transparency and openness — and we're fun to work with! |

Our Process
-
phase 1
Project Discovery
This phase starts with getting to know the client and their needs. We will have you fill out a project planner to help us hone in on exactly what your goals and expectations are.
We gather requirements, build out a site map, and carry-out project discovery. Once we have the necessary information, we will present you with a Statement of Work (SOW) that includes a detailed itemized project quote, broken down into the following six billable areas: Project Related, Design, Development, Marketing, Revenue Generation, and Hosting.
This will tell you exactly what you are paying for and how long we estimate each item will take. We are very experienced at accurately estimating projects, keeping clients up-to-date on progress, and approaching projects with a budget-conscious mind-set.
phase 2Design Directions
We then move on to producing design directions that are agreed upon by the client, going thru design revisions and feedback cycles, with frequent communication and updates, until all parties are comfortable and happy with the design comps.
-
phase 3
Templates and Site Build-Out
After designs have been approved, we build the comps out into functioning website templates and connect them to a back-end database and Content Management System, if the project requires it.
phase 4Revisions
Once the site is up in a staging environment, there are naturally a few rounds of revisions to help get the exact look, feel, and functionality the client is looking for.
phase 5Installation of Website Content
Assuming the project involves a Content Management System, at this stage, either we or the client, will populate the site with website content. This stage also includes a final review, cross-browser testing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and making the website more accessible to people with disabilities, if the client so chooses.
-
phase 6
Deployment
Your website is published in it's production version and fully placed online. Database backups are turned on, email accounts are activated, and visitor tracking is implemented using software such as Google Analytics.
phase 7Ongoing Marketing, Publishing, and Revenue Generation
Most projects require marketing campaigns (SEO/SEM, newsletter campaigns, online networking, etc.) and a sustainable long-term marketing plan to get desired results. Almost all successful websites have a large ongoing publishing aspect to them.
We bring to the table extensive knowledge and expertise on how to not only grow your online presence but generate revenue from it. Selling subscriptions, up-selling to existing members, offering Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) capabilities, selling onsite advertising, implementing robust e-commerce platforms — these are among a few tools in our tool belt that we use to make our clients' businesses succeed.
